Park Clean Up
Dear Grand Chute Baseball Families,
We're just a few warm breezes away from baseball season—let’s "think summer" and get things ready for our players to hit the ground running (and sliding)!
We’re calling all hands on deck for Park Clean-Up Days at Plamann Park in Appleton:
When: Monday, April 28 & Thursday, May 1
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Where: Meet under the pavilion near the concession stand
We'll be tackling a major league list of tasks:
- Raking, weeding, edging, and trimming fence lines
- Setting up batting cages (aka “spring training grounds”)
- Organizing gear bags for our coaches (because chaos doesn’t win championships)
- Hauling job boxes to Field 6 and Patriot Park
- Testing scoreboard equipment so we can light it up this season
- …and plenty more field-prepping fun.
Please arrive on time so we only have to go over instructions once—we love teamwork but not repeat meetings! And yes, gloves are highly recommended unless you enjoy a solid dirt manicure.
Reminder: These clean-up days are a home run opportunity to complete your required 2 volunteer hours per family—before the first pitch is even thrown!
Let’s pull some weeds, swap some jokes, and soak in the early-season sunshine. We’ll work hard, wrap up quickly, and head home dreaming of hot dogs and walk-off wins.
Thanks for being part of this incredible community. See you at the park!
